The Thunderbolt engine powers home builders, Red Bull Air Race pilots, and well-known aerobatic aircraft pilots.

DEL-120 Series

Lycoming’s DEL-120 is a Diesel cycle engine that can be used in various aviation applications. One configuration of the DEL-120 is a turbocharged, four-cylinder, compression-ignition engine generating 205 hp of takeoff power and is FADEC controlled.

541 Series

Lycoming’s 541 engine series is a top induction, down exhaust, turbocharged, direct-drive engine series with side-mounted accessories producing 380 horsepower.

235 Series

Lycoming’s four-cylinder 235 Series engine is a popular choice for home-built, as well as OEM-produced aircraft. With models producing up to 125 hp at 2,800 RPM, this engine powers many aircraft around the world.

320 Series

Lycoming’s four-cylinder 320 Series engines produce 150 or 160 hp at 2,700 RPM. These engines power numerous popular aircraft produced by companies like Cessna, Piper, and kit manufacturers such as Van’s and Glasair. The 320 Series also powers the early Robinson R22 helicopter.

360 Series

Lycoming’s extremely popular four-cylinder 360 engine combines rugged reliability with smooth performance, producing 145 to 210 hp. Since 1955, certified 360 cubic inch engines from Lycoming have been installed in thousands of aircraft.

390 Series

Lycoming’s 390 Series four-cylinder engines produce 210 hp at 2,700 RPM. One of Lycoming’s newest engines, the IO-390-A, is designed to meet the power, payload, and speed requirements of the kit aircraft segment, and is currently being certified for helicopter applications.

540 Series

Lycoming’s 540 Series six-cylinder engines are powerful and durable, producing 235 to 360 hp at up to 2,700 RPM.

580 Series

The Lycoming 580 Series of six-cylinder engines is powerful, producing 315 hp at 2,700 RPM with reliable direct drive and excellent power to weight ratio. This model meets the ever-growing performance requirements of modern-day aircraft design, and is also a popular retrofit under Supplemental Type Certificates.

720 Series

Lycoming’s eight-cylinder IO-720 Series engines produce up to 400 hp at 2,650 RPM, and are the largest engine in production today at the Lycoming factory.

EL-005 Series

Lycoming’s EL-005 is a two-stroke Otto cycle spark-ignited engine that is optimized for jet fuels and uses digital electronic controls to create a seamless flying experience. One version of the EL-005 powers the Textron Systems Unmanned Systems Aerosonde aircraft.
